Camtasia Studio is a screen recorder that record all activity from desktop (entire screen or custom area) and save it as video file.
Is not just a simple screen recorder, also features powerful editing options to create tutorials or demonstrations with quality & powerful effects.
When recording, can select full screen or custom area with drag&drop (or select from multiple presets). Videos can be saved as AVI or .camrec formats. Can record audio (including microphone), set custom frame rate, assign hotkeys for actions.
Mouse cursor supports effects to be highlighted better and helps to make video more suggestive. Set cursor to different shapes, change it’s color, size and transparency.
Once video has been saved, you can add it to a workspace (timeline) where you can edit it: cut, join multiple videos, remove sounds, add transitions or callouts. Also, includes a video player.
