FileZilla is an open source software tool to transfer files through FTP protocol. It supports various types of transfers including the most secure ones: SFTP, FTPS and FTP. Users can connect to different servers or FTP addresses and transfer files; it supports resume, useful for large file sizes.

It allows drag&drop files from local computer to server, users can customize speed limit and number of simultaneous transfers.

Other features includes directory comparison by file name, file size or last modification time. interface is available in many languages and can set custom file types associations to open directly from FileZilla (for example when you double click a HTML or PHP file in FileZilla interface, you can open it automatically with desired text editor or program that you previously have set in file types associations).
