GitHub is a platform that makes software development easier providing an infrastructure ready to use to track bugs or issues and make a collaborative work (in team).

The free version for personal and organizations includes unlimited collaborators and public repositories and the single difference that paid plans have is private repositories. This means if you are using for free, your projects will be visible for public, but if you keep them private you need to upgrade account.

All issues can be sorted or filtered, create milestones for each version and customize with colors. All members of a project can post comments and find solutions for each problem in an organized manner. Can be a good replacement for Jira.

GitHub’s syntax highlighting supports more than 200 programming languages.

Users can publish their work as website through GitHub Pages, they will host your files.
