RipIt is a Mac OS program that allows to copy your DVD to local hard drive.
It can be used to make a copy of your DVD, for example if you have a movie from your holiday on a disc and you want to save it on your computer, this application is able to rip/grab the content of that disc and save it to PC.
Once saved, video file can be played directly from computer, you can convert it to another format, upload it to services like Youtube and so on.
RipIt can create files that will play in iTunes, Ipad or AppleTV too.
