DesktopOK

Free
Windows

DesktopOK save and restore icons positions for each resolution that you are using. Usually, when screen resolution is changed, icons are automatically rearranged and will loose their default position. If you have many of them, it can take some time to find applications and shortcuts on your desktop.

Useful especially if you are changing resolution often, but also good to prevent loosing icons position if resolution is changed without your choice (for example it happens often when you play a game, the game will ask or will change automatically resolution), DesktopOK can save icons locations for each type of resolution profile.

With a single click you can save current icon positions and restore it later in the same easy way. This tool cannot be a reliable alternative to Stardock Fences because it has more features, but is a simpler way to deal with icons positions (arrange them as you want, then click “Save”; if icons are changing positions, simply click “Restore”).
