rsync is a Linux software that allows incremental backups, file backups or synchronization. It synchronizes folders from 2 different locations and is working fast. Users can copy files faster than traditional methods and apply options for compressions and recursion.

Files that will be transferred can be archived, if files exists can skip or overwrite.

It does not have a graphical user interface and operates only through command line.

Supports SSH transfers.
