Sighthound is a video camera surveillance and management software that allows to connect different types of webcams or cameras and record video files and receive alerts when detect movements.
You can connect to Sighthound software USB, built in or other type of webcam, or a network IP camera. You can save video files to different quality levels from low quality to HD.
You can set it to start recordings automatically when detect movements of people or objects; can ignore objects smaller than a certain amount of pixels. Also, you can track movements that are performing certain actions like entering, exiting, inside, outside, on top of etc. Can include objects that are visible for a minimum amount of time (seconds).
Users can choose how many time will keep video files saved on computer before deleting them automatically, in order to make more hard disk space for new recordings.
You can enable remote access to control your software from the distance, you need only an internet connection (you need to set an username, password and a port for remote access – Sighthound offers a easy to setup menu with a few clicks).
You can receive alerts via email, on mobile phone or the program can play a sound when an event occur.
Easily turn on or turn off each camera. The free version allows to use a single camera, for more cameras your need to buy a premium license that is not very cheap.
