wxCam is a video recorder for webcams. It records videos and take pictures directly from your webcam. Video files can be saved in AVI or XVID formats. Users can adjust diferent options such as brightness, gamma, resulution, saturation or contrast. other graphic effects are negative, monochrome, color correction and more.

Snapshots or pictures can be saved as different image types: PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP and more.

Recording videos in XVID format helps users to save disk space with a minor loss in fidelity. For higher quality is recommended to save as AVI.

It supports movement detection and can start automatically recording when detects movements, so can be used succesfully as monitoring software.
