WordPress is the most popular CMS for building blogs or almost any type of website. Was released in 2003 and is written in PHP language.

Without advanced programming language, users can deploy a new website in seconds and easily customize layout, menus, appearance. Thousands of themes are available for free or paid.

It supports plugins that are developed by third party authors and these plugins can add different functionalities to a website.   Webmasters can search desired plugins and install them directly from their administration interface.

Initially made for blogging, now WordPress is used to build any kind of website, including e-commerce, business, travel, forums and more.
